About
Born on the Big Island of Hawaii, Captain Randy Parker has been fishing these waters since his childhood. He is a second-generation charter boat captain who has literally been raised on sport fishing boats, catching his first marlin at just 10 years old. Randy's father, Captain George Parker, was inducted into the International Game Fishing Hall of Fame in 2005. George caught the first IGFA documented Pacific Blue Marlin Grander in 1954.
Randy has followed in his father’s footsteps becoming one of Kona’s most notable sport fishing captains. He has landed two Granders (fish over 1,000 lbs). The first was a 1045 lb Pacific Blue Marlin on July 12, 2001, followed by a 1174.5 lb Pacific Blue Marlin on April 8, 2002. Randy’s tournament winnings are also quite enviable. He has placed in the top positions in numerous billfish tournaments in both Hawaii and Mexico through out his career.
